Italian Palladium Leaf

It's a pewter/silvery version of gold leaf/foil. Palladium is wonderful because it's nearly impossible to melt in. If you have a tendency to melt in silver then palladium is for you! You can leave it on the surface and the heat will make it a gorgeous color-shift (from a pewter/silvery color to blues, mint green/greens, plums/purples and even touches of pink with certain glass), OR you can encase it and it will be a nice shiny silver.

Sold in booklets of 25 leaves for $62.00
Leaves are 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"

Special $38.00

Examples of Palladium Leaf

Check out this stunning bead by Karen. She got such beautiful pink, purple and blue colors from the Palladium Leaf. You can view her beads at Glassafras.

Robin works the Palladium Leaf hot to achieve these fabulous colors. Just apply the leaf, work it in a hot neutral flame, and when you're all done with the bead just bathe it in a hot flame for a few seconds and then hold it out of the flame for as long as you're comfortable to allow the bead to cool before popping it in the kiln. The colors usually develop after a couple minutes in the kiln. It's the high heat and then the cooling that brings the colors out for Robin.

These amazing beads were
made by Robin Weber.

She achieved beautiful pink and purple colors from the Palladium. The base is black and then rolled in Palladium and then transparent light steel grey was drizzled randomly (no other colors were used).  The whole thing is then super heated and pressed in a bead mold.
